First Day of Summer

rain drips on enthusiasm

puddling sunny plans

clouds of joy hovering

mist-like, out of reach

while tiny streams of sunlight tease

between endless palettes of grays

I have a late comment for you - not unlike the way summer dawdled into place this year. Your words are PERFECT! And the photos add just the right visual connection! Thank you for a wonderful post! But as your more recent post said - summer finally has shown up... and for that I am very glad. (even tho today was close to 95!) Stay well- :-)
